Medical Detox
Treatment begins with medical detoxification. At ARC, you will be provided with the necessary medical and emotional support to manage this crucial process that eliminates your body’s dependence on alcohol or other drugs. In our program, we take a non-judgmental and empathic person-centered approach in caring for you through medical detox. This approach continues as detoxification enables your transition into the next phases of recovery at ARC.

Family Therapy

Relapse Program
Beating addiction is a lifelong process. Unfortunately for some, relapse might occur on the larger path to recovery. However, it’s important to realize that just because you’ve relapsed, your progress toward healing has not been lost. Your goal of recovery is still intact, and with some help, you can get back on track, and back to the healthy lifestyle you were able to achieve when you first overcame your addiction.
In our relapse program at ARC, we’ll look for the factors that led to relapse and discuss the things you need to do to get back on-track in your recovery. You should never have to face addiction and relapse on your own, and at ARC we’re happy to work with you so that you can get back on your path to lasting sobriety.
Group Counseling
Group counseling includes face-to-face contact In which one or more counselors/program specialists provide discussion with two or more clients. focusing on the needs of clients served. Group counseling may include spouses. parents, and other significant people when deemed beneficial to the client.
Substance Abuse Education
Understanding the reasons that underlie drug and alcohol abuse, and knowing the way certain substances can affect the body – these are vital to your successful, long-term recovery. In this informative program, you will learn how family, social and professional relationships are impacted and even destroyed by addiction. Counseling may be included. Specific instructional sessions provide an opportunity to examine the root causes of addiction and how some of these may apply to you. This information helps you to understand and follow the solid, supportive recovery plan uniquely structured for you.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)
CBT and REBT are forms of treatment that focus on examining the relationships between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Often called “talk therapy,” these techniques allow you, under the guidance of your therapist, to reveal to yourself many of the unconscious, negative beliefs you have that prompt you to drink alcohol or abuse drugs. Negative thoughts such as these often are why addicts attempting recovery fall into the lapse/relapse trap. In ARC’s CBT/REBT program, the goal is clear: As you “unlearn” powerful negative beliefs by revealing and addressing them, you are developing other thought processes that can lead to healthier activities and more positive perspectives on life.
