“Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution. It represents the wise choice of many alternatives. Choice, not chance determines your destiny.”
CON·SCIOUS (adjective) : aware of and responding to one’s surroundings; awake.
Recovery isn’t just stopping the out of control spiral of chemical dependency. Nor is it identifying triggers and building coping skills to prevent using when we go back to the grinding life that got us there. Both are necessary steps to clear the fog and clean the slate but true recovery is living Consciously Strong and Sober Minded in all aspects of life. It’s mindfully evolving our life’s energy, redirecting our mindset from hopeless, self-defeating thoughts then re-directing every ounce of our being into motivating actions that inspire spiritual fulfillment in everyday life.
Keep it simple and become aware of the things our brain does on auto pilot. Are these old thoughts and behaviors what we want in our new life? 95% of the things we do in daily life are unconscious learned behaviors in our brain- from tying our shoes in the morning to accidentally walking by the dope dealer’s house on the way to the grocery store. Our purpose is to grow and elevate a new level of mental awareness, become mindful of our unconscious daily routines, steer away from the addictive behavior patterns and take healthy actions towards a mindfully planned lifestyle. A lifestyle designed with constant awareness of what we have done in the past, where we are now and where we want to go. Envision, strive and achieve a new life of continuous growth, developing our inner strengths and taking passionate actions that lead to positive results. A life of learning, adapting and overcoming obstacles to turn challenges into opportunities and accomplish real things that turn our dreams into reality.
