What to Expect from the Admissions Team
Most of the time, the first contact you will have will be with the drug and alcohol treatment center’s admission team. These are compassionate, dedicated professionals who have the goal of supporting you through this process. They will ask you questions and answer the questions you have. Here are some of the steps you can expect.
Insurance Verification
Your admissions team will verify your insurance coverage. If you have coverage, you will learn what type of coverage you have and what it will cover for your care. There are no surprises here. You will get insight into what you can expect to pay if you do not have insurance. You may also learn about programs that could help cover your costs.
Basic Information Intake
You may not be sure what type of care you need just yet. That’s okay. When you are admitted into treatment, you will learn more about the recommended types of care based on your specific needs. This is done after you have a full assessment that looks at all of the details of your health and medical needs. Initially, you will learn about the availability of programs and, in some situations, may be able to secure same day admission.
Transportation Help
You will also get some help with transportation to the treatment center if you need it. All you have to do is to give us a call, and we will work closely with you to ensure you can get the treatment you need.
Assessment and Evaluations
One of the biggest steps in getting treatment is having a formal assessment. This process is thorough and allows for you to get the type of care you need. During this process, we will learn as much about you as possible. That includes gathering information about any mental health disorders you may have so that we can provide appropriate access to the type of care you need.
The goal of this is to create an individualized treatment designed just for your needs. This may include providing you with access to care such as:
- Medical detox
- Inpatient rehab
- Partial hospitalization
- Intensive outpatient program
